EPA Posts FAQs Regarding Pesticides Containing a Fluorinated Carbon

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has posted a web page entitled “Pesticides Containing a Fluorinated Carbon.” EPA states that among other classes of pesticides, it “occasionally receives and evaluates registration applications for products containing one or more fluorinated carbons.” According to EPA, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are defined “in certain contexts” as substances containing two or more fluorinated carbons, and in others as substances containing one or…
