👉 Aleksandr Zhadan, after struggling to find love on Tinder, developed an AI assistant using OpenAI`s GPT-2, and later upgraded to GPT-3, 3.5, and 4, to help him navigate the dating app.
🗣️ His assistant conversed with thousands of women, scheduled dates, and eventually helped him find his wife, Karina Vyalshakaeva.
🤯 Zhadan`s assistant learned his preferences and filtered out profiles that didn`t match his interests.
😍 After finding success with Karina, Zhadan updated his program to become his personal dating guru.
🤖 Despite initial bugs and misunderstandings, the AI assistant helped Zhadan become a better partner and even suggested he propose to Karina, which she accepted.
🎯 While Vyalshakaeva was initially shocked to learn about the AI`s role, she appreciates its rational use and recognizes that their real-life connection is what truly matters.

🧬🤯 Things are about to speed up as AI has successfully edited human DNA.
Profluent has trained an LLM on a massive amount of biological data. The model is able to generate millions of diverse CRISPR-like proteins which don`t exist in nature.
Their goal is to produce gene editors that are more efficient and capable than existing biological mechanisms that allow organisms to, for instance, ward off diseases and other pathogens.
Profluent also claims to have already used one of these AI-generated gene editors, dubbed OpenCRISPR-1, to edit human DNA. The company says it`s the "world’s first open-source, AI-generated gene editor" that was "designed from scratch with AI."
What`s more, they`re open-sourcing it, making it free to use. By open-sourcing the editor, Profluent is hoping to leverage the expertise of other researchers to improve the model over time.
"We encourage the gene editing community to pressure test OpenCRISPR-1," said Cameron in a statement. "If there are particular features that could be improved for a specific application, we’d like to know and can collaborate to optimize those properties."

The initial launch of BARK Air is only the beginning – our first step in achieving our vision for dog-first travel. We partnered with a jet charter company to meticulously build out an in-flight experience from the ground up that is focused solely on the comfort and happiness of the dog first, and human second. We chose our flight routes based on where we see the most demand today as well as how we can connect parts of the country and the world where driving with your dog simply isn’t a viable option.
Listening to dog people and giving them more ways to spoil their dogs is what drives every business decision we make as we further our mission to make all dogs happy, and it will be no different for the next phase of BARK Air. Our hero video represents our vision for the future - what flying with your dog should be like.
